Educational Goals
The course aims to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of Automatic Control and Robotics. It covers the basic principles of system design, analysis, and control, as well as robotics. Control techniques and controller programming are presented, along with programming of robotic manipulators, spatial descriptions of a robot’s position and orientation, and rotations. The principles of kinematic analysis are introduced, addressing both the forward and inverse kinematics problem.
The course includes a laboratory project on automatic control of a system and concludes with a laboratory project based on an industrial-type Kawasaki robotic arm.
